Ai Weiwei’s exhibition @Large opens in Alcatraz prison in the United States. It features one hundred and seventy-six portraits of the most famous political prisoners in history, made out of plastic toy building blocks. Over 1.2 million blocks are used to reconstruct the faces of such personalities as Nelson Mandela and Aung San Suu Kyi.
