Ai Weiwei is allowed out on bail. He is fined over 12 million yuan ($2.36 million) on a charge of tax evasion in connection with FAKE Design. His passport is withdrawn, and he is banned from publishing articles on the Internet or speaking to the media. CCTV cameras are installed on the buildings and electricity pylons around his home and police officers keep an eye on the neighbourhood.
