Viola starts to work with director Peter Sellars, with orchestra conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen and with production manager Kira Perov on a new rendering of Wagner’s opera Tristan und Isolde. The four-hour video takes eight months to complete and is presented for the first time by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in project form – The Tristan Project – for the first time in December.
