The Chaplaincy to the Arts and Recreation in North East England commissions him to produce an installation entitled The Messenger for 11th century Durham Cathedral. Both works are shown at Bill Viola: Trilogy: Fire, Water, Breath, an exhibition held at the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière in Paris during the Festival d’Automne.
