Viola travels to the Saskatchewan region of Canada to film the prairie landscape in winter. He visits Tunisia with Kira Perov to record video tapes of mirages in the Sahara Desert (Chott el-Djerid). He shows the installation He Weeps for You at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in the context of the Projects series.
