In the course of the first exhibition of his work in Japan, in the context of the “10^th International Video Meeting, Tokyo 78″ organised by the Centro de Arte y Comunicación and the Tokyo-based Japanese Video Commission at the Sogetsu Kaikan centre in Tokyo, Viola takes part in the symposium and presents a performance entitled Olfaction.
