He creates his first video tapes, including Tape I. He works as a video preparer at Syracuse’s Everson Museum of Art (1972–4) under the guiding hand of David Ross, who curates its video art section. He helps to organise exhibitions of the work of such artists as Nam Jum Paik, Peter Campus, Frank Gillette and others. He shows his own video tapes in public for the first time, taking part in a collective exhibition entitled St. Jude International at the Saisset Museum at Santa Clara University in California (Wild Horses).
