We invite all users to carefully read this policy before interacting with our social channels.

This social media policy is addressed to all users interacting with our social channels, including but not limited to: visitors, followers, partners, content creators, influencers, journalists, guides, curators, researchers, students, and teachers.

3. Guiding principles

This social media policy has been drafted in coordination with all bodies of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi according to four basic principles.

Respect: all users are encouraged to maintain a respectful and constructive tone in their interactions. Offensive, discriminatory, or dignity-violating comments will be removed.

Authenticity: we encourage the sharing of authentic opinions and feedback, provided they are expressed in a respectful and constructive manner.

Privacy: users are reminded not to share sensitive personal information in public comments. For matters requiring the sharing of personal data, we encourage contacting us through the provided private channels.

Intellectual property: users must respect the intellectual property rights held by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, artists, and lenders of works, avoiding the sharing of copyrighted content without the necessary authorization.

4. Contents

Textual, visual, and audio content published on social networks are conceived and produced by the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, unless otherwise stated. The intellectual property rights of all content (text, photos, videos, and other multimedia products) belong to the Foundation and the original author.

Users are allowed to share, comment, and use said content in accordance with the terms of service of each social channel and by observing the obligation to mention Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and the author where specified. Any other use and reproduction are strictly prohibited without further specific authorization from the Foundation. Any sharing for commercial or promotional purposes is strictly prohibited.

User comments and posts – which are encouraged to be represented by a profile bearing a first and last name – reflect the opinions of individuals and not those of the Foundation, which cannot be held responsible for what is posted on the channels by third parties.

User content and posts may be shared across different profiles and promoted if in line with the rules of this social media policy and the editorial choices of the Foundation.

The possible presence of advertising spaces on the social platforms used by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi is not under our control but managed independently by the social networks.

5. Content monitoring

Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi will actively monitor social channels and related messaging applications.

Social channels are updated and monitored from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and monitoring is also ensured during weekends and holidays. We commit to reading messages and responding to any questions as quickly as possible. However, response times may vary depending on the type of question and the time required to obtain the requested information. We reserve the right to connect the user with the relevant office, when necessary.

Users are encouraged to maintain respectful tones, adhering to the so-called netiquette. Everyone has the right to intervene on Palazzo Strozzi’s social channels and express their opinion freely, provided that the public interest of the topics is respected. It is not possible to use social spaces for personal matters. In these spaces, normal rules of correctness, respect for others’ opinions, and privacy apply.

In any case, all users must respect the terms of service of the social networks on which Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi is officially present.

2. User reporting: we encourage our community to report inappropriate content or behaviors through the tools provided by social platforms or directly to us via email;

3. Evaluation: each report is evaluated individually, and the decision to remove content or intervene on behavior is made based on the severity of the violation and compliance with the principles of this social media policy;

4. Action: in case of violation, the content will be removed, or disciplinary measures will be applied to the responsible user, which may include warnings, temporary suspension, or, in the most serious cases, permanent banning from the channel;

5. Communication: when appropriate, we will communicate to the user responsible for the violation the reasons for the action taken;

6. Review: users have the right to request a review of moderation decisions, providing additional context or explanations, and the Foundation is committed to carefully reconsidering each case.

5.4. Tools for removal and moderation

To support moderation procedures, Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi uses various tools provided by social platforms and internal resources:

– Antispam filters and keywords: we use automatic filters to block comments and posts containing inappropriate or off-topic keywords;

– Reporting tools: social platforms offer tools that allow users and administrators to report inappropriate content; these tools are an essential first step in identifying violations;

– Block and ban: in case of repeated or serious violations, we may decide to block or ban from our social channels for a limited or permanent period those who repeatedly violate these conditions or those contained in the policies of the adopted tools, obviously false users or to prevent further inappropriate behavior.

Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi also reserves the right to report to the platform administrators and law enforcement agencies.
