Innovative technology based on visitor experience in a physical location, supplied by Cloud4Wi – a company first set up in Italy that operates at the global level, with offices in New York and San Francisco – and launched with immense success at the opening of Donatello, the Renaissance exhibition, has enable us to forge a new Wi-Fi connectivity through which we can offer content, interaction and information, receive feedback and provide services directly on the visitor’s smartphone in as engaging a multichannel experience as possible available in every area of Palazzo Strozzi, from the courtyard to the exhibition rooms
With the Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo exhibition, the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi confirms its commitment to digital innovation in the context of an increasingly broad approach to connection and dialogue with its visitors through its partnership with Cloud4Wi.
The Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo exhibition focuses on the dynamic of interaction between Palazzo Strozzi’s architecture and the public, activating the colours, lights and shadows of the artist’s work. The experience of ‘here and now”, of the present moment of each one of us, is the leitmotif running through the entire exhibition, projecting the legacy of the Renaissance into the present. It is exactly in that sense that the opportunity to provide our visitors with a digital connectivity service acquires an essential quality: living in our own time, interacting with art and culture, juxtaposing the historical and the contemporary.
Arturo Galansino – Director General, Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi
Cloud4Wi is proud to pursue its technological partnership with the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi in further developing the digital experience for visitors to the Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo exhibition. With this site-specific exhibition of Eliasson’s work, Cloud4Wi will enable Palazzo Strozzi to increasingly place the visitor at the very heart of the museum experience. Thanks to the parallel digital experience – a conversation channel specifically created for Palazzo Strozzi and its visitors – the public will be able to interact all the more effectively on the spur of the moment (space and time), providing feedback and airing preferences. In that sense, the digital experience provided by Palazzo Strozzi thanks to Cloud4Wi will enable each individual visitor connecting to the Wi-Fi to be in his or her own time, ‘here and now’ in terms of interaction with Eliasson’s artworks.
