The Family Kit is the tool that Palazzo Strozzi has devised for children (aged 5 and above) and adults to enable them to share art in a fun and creative way.
The Family Kit takes the form of a map with which to explore the rooms of the exhibition Helen Frankenthaler: Painting Without Rules and discover the works of one of the most innovative contemporary artists of the 20th century. The kit suggests an itinerary through her large canvases where colours move freely, with insights into the secrets of her art and the tools with which she created a new artistic language. The stages indicate a selection of works and invite you to do activities in front of the paintings and sculptures, immersing yourself in a fantastic world of colours that meet, overlap and give life to ever new forms.
With the Family Kit you can observe, invent, learn, and create, in order to share art with the whole family.
The Family Kit is designed to be used independently by families in the rooms of Palazzo Strozzi and is available free of charge:
– the hardcopy version can be picked up at the Palazzo Strozzi ticket office;
– the digital version can be downloaded at home.
The Family Kit is a Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi project.
