To tie in with the Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo exhibition, the Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia, Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (CNR-INO), the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) and the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi are holding Enlighting Art!, a special guided tour of their research centres, exploring the physics and psychophysics of a number of optical effects.
Florence, city of light
Florence is a major centre for scientific research and training in optics and the science of light thanks to the synergy between the Department of Physics and Astronomy, the National Optics Institute (CNR-INO), the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS). The LENS was first set up as a European centre for scientific research in the University of Florence in 1991.
The three institutions together form a cutting-edge Scientific Cluster out in the forefront of physics and the applications of light, promoting and facilitating the exchange of ideas, scientific techniques and technical skills.
This event is part of the Fuorimostra programme of events and activities designed to tie in with the Olafur Eliasson: Nel tuo tempo exhibition.
