To tie in with the Anish Kapoor. Untrue Unreal exhibition Palazzo Strozzi has developed tours and workshops for schools to allow students to experience the exhibition as a space both for personal experimentation and for sharing with the class.
The tours, which are tailored to cater for different age groups, are structured in conversational form and include practical experiments in the exhibition. Workshop activities after the tour urge the children to reprocess the stimuli received from the exhibits with experiments which can be performed either individually or as a group.

Exhibition visit
Anish Kapoor invites us to explore a world in which true and false are mixed, questioning our perceptions. In the tour for lower secondary school classes, the artworks become an opportunity to explore his poetics and to reflect on appearance, reality, surface and depth, and the boundary between the known and the unknown.
The visit will include times of individual relationship with the works, group discussions and drawing experiences in the exhibition to encourage different ways of relating to art.
Duration one hour and a half
Cost € 3 per student plus price of admission to exhibition (free of charge for disabled students, teachers accompanying their class)

Visit + workshop
The activity comprises a tour of Anish Kapoor. Untrue Unreal exhibition focusing on some of the works of art displayed on the Piano Nobile, and a workshop to rethink the inputs received during the tour.
The visit invites to look at some of the artist’s great works and explore his poetics and to think about appearance, reality, surface and depth, the boundary between the known and the unknown.
The tour is completed with a workshop where it is possible to shape what can not be seen through a material dear to the artist, the wax. Three-dimensional forms and sculptures will emerge through manipulation, grow and join those of their companions and then return to their initial state.
Both the visit and the workshop will foster personal reflection and group dynamics, so the experience becomes an opportunity to learn about oneself in relation to art and others.
Duration two hours.
Cost € 4 per student plus ticket price (free for children under 6, students with disabilities, teachers accompanying the class)
