To tie in with the Anish Kapoor. Untrue Unreal exhibition Palazzo Strozzi has developed tours and workshops for schools to allow students to experience the exhibition as a space both for personal experimentation and for sharing with the class.
The tours, which are tailored to cater for different age groups, are structured in conversational form and include practical experiments in the exhibition. Workshop activities after the tour urge the children to reprocess the stimuli received from the exhibits with experiments which can be performed either individually or as a group.

Exhibition visit
The visit to the exhibition Anish Kapoor. Untrue Unreal for primary school years 3, 4 and 5 consists of a tour through the rooms of the Piano Nobile during which children are accompanied to discover some of the great contemporary artist’s works. The visits will have as their main theme the idea of opposite: inside and outside, rigid and soft, full and empty, order and disorder. Kapoor’s works show that there is no clear separation, playing on the dynamics created between apparently distant elements.
The visit has a dialogic mode and includes hands-on experiences and a drawing time in front of the artworks to relate to the art through creativity.
Duration one hour and a half
Cost € 3 per student plus price of admission to exhibition (free of charge for disabled students, teachers accompanying their class)
